United Nations Workshop on Humanitarian Reporting

A two day workshop was organized by United Nations in the State of Kuwait in pursuit to raise the media's increasing responsibility for addressing regional and international humanitarian issues in an accurate and efficient manner. It was attended by twenty participants from different newspapers and television stations.  The workshop was co-organized by the United Nations Office for the coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Integrated Regional Information Network (IRIN), as well as United Nations Children's Fund, United Nations Development Programme and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The workshop was convened in the Palms Hotel in the State of Kuwait from 2-3 November 2008
